She is awesome person, leader of the future Poland, child who loves to learn about God ! Actually watching Her helping another people, children and those who need the help and loving the Lord - I should not be surprise that something even bigger will happen in Her live !
This month She gat an award of the businesswoman of the Future from the city Chorzow ! We are so HAPPY for HER !!!

The Precious Older Generation - God gave us vision

Past week we have been learning about linking generations, instead of dividing them on small peaces and separate them from the whole body ,- it was painful to hear that : "is difficult to received together (with the older generation) then give ! So true, if you look at the world today, and what we learn from the past is just cutting the "Big Cake" on small pieces. We learn from the past how to separate generations from each other making our churches, community, fellowships - body parts ( reminds me cars parts store - where everything you can find but doesn't work together, in fact you have to go to different shelfs and alleys to find the right thing) . Its like the (somebody says) John 6 modern version says: - "After these things Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, A large crowd followed Him, because they saw the sign which He was performing on those who were sick, then Jesus went up on the mountain, and there He sat down with His disciples and set: (modern version) We have so many people around 5000 so, you Peter will take the age group 2-4 and you go on the left side of the mountain, You Philip take the 5-7 years old and do some good program for them with object lessons, and you Andrew don't worry take the teens and eat with them the five barley and two fishes and you gonna be fine.... " LOL - is this how our church looks like today ?
It's kinda funny picture of the word we possibly will do this days, but what really happen there ? God use small boy with his load of 5 bread and 2 fishes to teach the adults !

Anyway, working with my school journal tonight something happen to me, and was really clear that God want to show me something about the older generation in Poland, - listening music from our iPod (obviously not with christian lyrics) God start to giving me some thoughts what we should do when we come back to Poland,- it was the strange thing happen to me from a long while,- my iPod was playing and just stopped working (being charged) showing my the characteristic apple sign, i tried to push and play but didn't work at all, but i feel like its a special moment that I should listen to the Lord W O W - so God show me Poland and older generation forgotten, left behind and sad,- then i saw two hands old one and young one trying to reconcile - a young hand asking for forgiveness, disregard and arrogance -
got the sense that we should go with the younger generation and serve to the old people by blessing, praying and loving them! ,- next what happen was, when i turn my page of my notes the first sentence i saw, was to build bridges with the older generation to work together, after that i saw open chat with one of our friend in Poland, who told me that she just celebrated 84 birthday of her MOM and she see how passionated She still is for the LORD !! WOW, - next thing i get from her was,- we are so busy, running and leaving the older generation lonely ....... so true. few days before when as a school we prayed I got some impression about the new generation that is selfish .... :-( and should pray and bless and serve and not forget about the oldest ! when I finished putting all this things together as one picture my iPod start working again by itself !!! - isn't strange ? :-)
wow, i don't know how,when,were ? - but I know that God is doing something special, something which is bringing Him Joy, something what He is doing today .. i want to Hear more God !

.... one more things, God gave my dad dream 2 years ago about me, that I had some trouble with pornography, (God gave me freedom 6 moths ago) I rejected that actually having some trouble with it...., so I called him last week, after i read the verse from the Bible saying: And it shall be in the last days, God says, That I will pour forth of my Spirit on all mankind, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams .... ACTS 2,17 I understood that I have to asking for forgiveness and be thankful that God spoke through my Friend-Dad to me with Grace & Truth!

Working together with the old generation is amazing and i can"t wait to see the vision come true !

PCYM time - Principle in Child and youth ministry - school of king's kids

wow, after driving two days through America we gat to California where our plane took us to one of the beautiful island on the middle of the pacific - Hawaii.
Why we are there? - well, we have been trying to finish school which would prepare us better to the ministry among youth and kids. And being in USA for long time resting and seeking the Lord what next we strongly feel, that this is the time to make our goal done! God is faithful and provide the resources we need it ! Praise the Lord! We already after our first week of teaching with Dale Kaufmann the founder of King's Kids International. It was amazing to hear His testimony from the past but also from now what God is doing around the world.
I believe that God brought us here because He has prepare something special for us as family as King's Kids Poland.
We realized how important is to LISTEN GOD and joining HIM at the right time, instead of doing staff and be far away from something what He is actually leading. WOW incredible truth, i see how often i did and became tired, without energy and desire to serve.
I dee how important is to serve as FAMILY build in ministry and see growing them together ! I learn how important is to give the kids,teens place and respect them when God is speaking.
God choose the smallest, basically to close the mouths of the adults :-) Psalm 8,2 -

well, God spoke to us to move to different city in Poland - Warsaw which is so interesting how everything gonna work , we want obey, and He is gonna show us what next..... We are exited !!!

11th Operation Christmas Child in Ruda Slaska

It was crowded and loud in the evening of December 10th in tiny gym in one of the Public School in Ruda Slaska. Around 400 people gathered to celebrate Christmas and receive packages from Polish students and people from Ruda Slaska.

We were able to host as well Christian theater from Krakow who performed "How God create the world"

Officials from the city hall plus the Principle of teh school greet and welcome kids and wish them good Christmas.

One more time we were able to share Jesus love to those who are needy and without hope. It was nice to see the school kids and the city to serve together. We are praying now that those kids would be able to be in our christian program called 7/11 to develop their relationship with Christ. We praying that they will be able to discover their calling, more understand that they are special.

Everything starts in late September when miss Aniela Skrobarczyk meet with 100 Principles and others teachers on special meeting when she share 30 minutes about the idea of OCC and encourage schools to participate the event. Local schools responded really well sending around 1000 packages which could be distribute around needy kids in our home town.

The packages are still flowing to our club in Ruda Slaska so we praying how to distribute them to the others and Bless them.

OWENS CROSS ROADS, Alabama -- Even before a person entered the fellowship hall Tuesday evening atRivertree Church, which members call the Treehouse, the Polish decorations were evident: The scent of sauerkraut and sausage filled the air from crockpots of bigos, traditional Polish hunter’s stew, and energetic strains of Chopin dancing from the loudspeaker.

Bigos, a tart and satisfying mixture, is a taste of what life is like in Poland for missionaries Greg and Erin Skrobarczyk, pronounced “skro-bar-chek.”

“Here’s a word you’ll need before you eat,” said Erin Skrobarczyk as members of the church headed to the buffet line. “Smacznego! Try to say it!”

Children and adults filled their mouths with the consonant-enriched shapes of Polish, shouting out together “smaz-neh-go!” to wish each other “good appetite.”

The Skrobarczyks brought Poland to Hampton Cove for members of Rivertree, several of whom have helped with short-term mission projects in Poland with the Skrobarczyks at their ministry,King’s Kids Poland. The evening was part mission report and fundraising tour – Rivertree members are among King’s Kids supporters – but also just to have a good time as the couple took members through the typical elements of a King’s Kids club meeting.

Erin Rymer Skrobarczyk, who is a North Alabama native, met Greg, a native of Poland, when they were both at a disciple training in Hungary in 2004, and they married soon afterwards. Every since, they have served together in Poland through Youth with a Mission. The ministry isn’t so much about starting a new church in the country where most people consider being Catholic to be inseparable from being Polish, Greg said, but about bringing people to a closer, more vital relationship with God. Many people in Poland haven’t given much thought to their spiritual life, which seems to them to be isolated from their day-to-day struggles.

“I would love to see friends in my old neighborhood more happy, enjoying life and knowing who they are in Christ,” Greg said, describing their work.

“My friends thought I was crazy, but I keep this in my heart. I want to see the change.”

Dreaming of change

It was not only a thought. Greg also had a dream in which he saw a playground in his old neighborhood filled with children whose faces radiated happiness, not hopelessness. Little by little, he and Erin are working to fulfill that dream. When they return to Poland at the end of their furlough in the spring, they will shoulder responsibility for training and coordinated Youth with a Mission Work across Poland based on the success of their club in Ruda Slaska, Poland.

King’s Kids sponsor classes for youth such as dance and spoken English, as well as assisting single mothers and helping families with resources to fight alcoholism, child abuse and poverty.

Their efforts were noticed by school officials. They have been asked to take their program into all the schools in their city. Even the Catholic priest, at first wary of their motives, has called them to partner on fighting graffiti together.

“We are not trying to start a church,” Erin said. “We are just trying to provide good things, to open the Word of God and help them to enjoy a relationship with God.”

“It’s more about living how Jesus has called us to live,” Erin said. “That’s a little different than how the world lives.”

Poland’s expanding economy is doing better than some of the countries hit harder by the current economic crisis. But the cost of living still outpaces average wages by a huge margin.

Even so, one year as Greg handed out gift shoeboxes from Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child, he looked around the room, watching the children at King’s Kids open boxes packed by Christians in Germany and the U.S.

“I realized I would love to teach the Polish people that we can give, not only receive,” Greg said.

That was five years ago. They started small, getting classrooms to pack a few boxes together so that there wasn’t a huge burden on any one child. The sports department of the city helped to collect the boxes and then Erin and Greg and some other volunteers went through them, making sure they were even.

That first year? They were able to collect and re-distribute 1,000 boxes to children whose names they received from the social department of their city and also to children of Checheyna who live in a refugee camp near Ruda Slaska. They piled the boxes into cars and 30 volunteers took them directly to the homes of the children who needed them.

“There were home situations that were very, very sub-standard,” Erin said. “It was really neat how things came together.”

“We could teach them they can bless others, even when they don’t have so much,” Greg said.

As you probably know Poland and Ukraine will be able to host 24 teams from whole Europe at the one of the greatest events which is Euro Cup Football Tournament.
Together with our team in Ruda Slaska we have been praying and still trying to hear what God have to say about the idea but as a athletic guys (who played football in the sport clubs in Poland) and Christians we see that is a really great opportunity to share God's Love and Christians values to the boys and girls in Poland. We would love to honor as well UEFA Fair Play statements and teach how God can help us to go through good values.
As King's Kids team in Ruda Slaska, Poland we have been experiencing many Football Tournaments with more then a 100 boys where we were able to share Jesus Love and Forgiveness.
WE believe that is a really big tool to use especially that our country will breathe the tournament :-) next year. Well we already had some encouragement and support from the local officials to organize the Local tournament.

We would love to locate the tournament in Ruda Slaska - South of Poland when you can easy find connection by flight, motorway and train coming to Katowice.
AS we know we can host teams at the one of the local school and play on 4 different football fields which are located in whole Ruda Slaska.
Ruda Slaska is located around other big cities like Katowice, Chorzow (National Stadium), Zabrze, Gliwice and only 50 km from Krakow where each team can do evangelistic outreach.
Krakow has another airport which is connected to Ruda Slaska with Motorway.

WHY RUDA SLASKA ?

Our kings Kids club is located near one of the arenas of Future football tournament.
This town is not really popular but really hospitable
Other biggest cities in Poland will be able to host fans from whole Europe and usually nobody thing about the smallest cities around.
We would love to help people find Jesus and spread the good news to the one of the biggest jobless area in Poland.
Show the people that He can Care for them !

God is never late !!! - summer happenings in king's kids polska - an update

First of all, we are extremely thankful to God that He is the one who is providing what we need! Guys from germany - surprise us by giving donation for new boombox stereo with iPod dock which was stollen in March. We can just use for the Dance Week Workshops which taken place right now in our club in Ruda Slaska. The final of the week will take place at the market square in Ruda Slaska on Friday. well GOD IS NEVER LATE , JUST BEFORE THE WHOLE DANCE WEEK HE GAVE US _ REPLACED NEW BOOM BOX WHICH CAN BE USE NOW ! ON TIME

We have the privilege to have Dance instructor from the show You Can Dance who is gonna teach around 30 kids this week how to express yourself through dance. We will have some special kids from the Behavioral Hospital in Ruda Slaska therefore we need your prayers ! well we believe that Dance is a part of our club mission and wonderful connection to the world and people who use this type of language. Anyway we waiting for the Final and Hope that our meetings with few preeschool's in this month will able to bring a lot of kiddos to our club in September !

This is such a big responsibility but also honor to be able to be connect with the Education system in our town. Please pray for us when you reading that and pray that this club would be able to find finacnes to covert expenses for the coming months.

God send those guys in last minute for a mission trip

... last weekend was crazy, skype and text message between Poland and Usa were like hot line and everything starts on Facebook where polish people were sharing theirs opinions about last summer evangelistic event called MOVE, there was around 150 Germans who literally invasion the district in Bykowina in Ruda Slaska and this year the same thing is happening in beautiful city Bremen in North of Germany. I saw the desire and willingness to go reading the news. when i was watching all the comments and start to pray and contact my friend who is one of the leader in MOve 2011 and ask Him if its some possibility for our guys to come and join.
My heart was jumping when i heard that it possible for them to come, therefore in Sunday night i talked to folks from Kings Kids LCub in Poland and Monday ( I still can believe that theirs parents let them go ) two of ours nice guys Grzegorz and Michal where seating at the bus to go in 17 hours Bus journey to serve to the public at Move 2011. They Gat save there and we praying that God will lead them and use them for His glory ! I believe that they will come more encouraged and change to be able to share how God is good!

Happy Day - part 3 on the Communist Block Area in Ruda Slaska

Every year around May and June we are calling kids from one of the biggest communist block area in Ruda Slaska where our kings kids club is located to have fun, new experiences and adventures with God.

This year we had around 200 people showing up and play with us !

This is our commitment to the city life rhythm life to show God's Love to those who don't know him yet.

We love our area and we praying that God will bring revival to this place.

here is the Men who is teaching us about God, well nice nick name :-) - I heard this morning before we started our last devotion program with nice kids.

It was a good honor for me and Erin to teach and have fun with this kids with different background. Sometimes was hard but I Believe that They will remember that, THERE ARE SPECIAL and CHOSEN !

Before we set good bye for now, we shared the news that God heard our prayers two weeks ago and gave us ( I MEAN THAT HONESTLY) a CAR, He provided people who gave us money and He provided people who sold the car for us less then is on a market.

Kids were exited and clap theirs hands for glory to God!

I will miss this meetings and the Staff people !

Thank you God for letting us serve here in US and be encouragement to many of those kiddos !

....... yes, my mom Aniela Skrobarczyk and few other guys from king's kids club who was receiving the diploma from the hand of the Ombudsman for Children in Republic of Poland couldn't kinda believe that this is actually happening ! That an honor and privilege to serve our town and be observed and appreciated from the people who knows education and all law regulations in our country of Poland.
I can say that after the whole drama we went through in the beginning of the year God is showing us more and more that He is the one who Know what He is doing ! Well i'm speechless and one think what i want to say THANK YOU GOD and thank you to all people from the king's kids club.

Program for kids at Elementary School in New Hope

Thank you, thank you we heard from 30 kids who gather in Elementary School this morning in New Hope after our program ! It was loud through one hour in daining room where we were able to present The Kids program ! CARE center is the really focusing mission organization who is taking care for those who's live is pretty sucks there and we had the privilege to serve those who don't have nice situations in their houses and strageling with poverty. It was good time especially listening Ms Elizabeth with her amazing story How God just help her go through her though life. I pray that God is gonna use the while time and remain the kids that He is Good !

Its been a big blessing for us and especially for me to serve kids from the ymca almost two weeks. Its a language & voice challenge since we don't have any microphone AND my broken polglish is sometimes how to call that ... right how to call that ??? :-)
well, we are so happy that we can serve those kids who are in 80% are there b/c of the scholarship . WOW its a sign that something is going wrong or something is going different then to use to ....
Anyway its a privilege for my to be able to Bless and encourage kids and have some fun , throwing eggs, and spray hairpin, sing some motion songs and just say that U ARE SO SPECIAL b/c JESUS LOVES YOU !!! Thursday IS A BIG DANCE COMPETITION AMONG BOYS AND GIRLS WITH THE SONG : MOVE IN THE NAME OF JESUS !!

Our dear friend Lawren ask us if we would like to help with devotion for about 100 kids who coming for daily camp to the ymca. Well, we didn't really want to do it b/c of our sabbatical year here in the States but thinking about it and praying we agree to do that till the end of this month. We found out that there is really big need for those kids to have real fun and learn about Jesus in interactive way. So we started to do 35 minutes program which we do in Poland. It works, kids have fun and for the first week we already have some friends who saying hello and smiling to us when they see us at the ymca during the week. We are so happy that we can do that and bless the best we can.

I don't want to sound like chaotic Man but i think i will :-) so forgive me if I do :-)
... its so many things to say, im here around 1,5 week but God is awesome!

the whole bad things which happened to our club : stolen ministry equipement, city hall canceled founds by the new Mayor etc.. God is turning for good through pain, tears and experiences.
Its a privilage for me to see the young team fighting and seeking God in prayers and fasting to clearly hear what He wants not us, our desires !

When i walk to the building where few months ago was crouded and louded I start cry. but on the end of the corridal in our building i saw little light from one of the empty room which gave me HOPE and BELIEVE that God is in control, i still see the broken doors from the classes, missing equipement, thing laying on the flor from different organizations who had to move, stinky smell from broken radiators and some black spots on the wall and THE Light on the end of the corridal.
God just spoke to me and show me that I forgot that He is bigger then teh picture i see, and gave me a smile! Truth Smile i never experienced before!
I took you from Poland to show you that this all, spoon, stereo, coffee maker, fridge and toy belongs to Him and He will renovate all the hurtnes people have.
The first day i woke up i heard phones ringing and random people talking to my mom were are we ? why the club is close? then visiting preeschool the director set that moms asking where we are ? what happeened ? I could proudly say : its God time !!
today we just finished sign up for soccer tournament and we have over 100 boys sign up and you know what ?? They will hear about Jesus this comming Saturday !!!! They have been asking and saying Finally you do the tournament we were wait for :-)
Today soem of the officials from the city hall came (she is against the new mayor i mean her decision regarding our club )and told us that she will be
with us and faight for us!
Today moms came and set WE NEED THE ATMOSPHERE in the club in our life and dance classes for our kids who went to the private dance school paying a lot of money and they dont know anything !!!
Today Man from the one of the Biggest Newspaper Magazine DZIENNIK ZACHODNI called and set i worte an article about you and your work which will be this comming Friday !!! and i was few days ago talking to the New Mayor and asking her Why she cancelled our donation which made her really uncomfortable.
Today we got the news that the New Mayor read my email to Her and She was blow that somebody wish Her Blessings and Luck instead of cursing!
Today she put a note on the email I need to meet with this guy (which nobody from the different organizations meet her yet)
Today a friend of mine called and set i want to help to pay the bills for your club
Today a new christians couple came to our club for the very first time to help us in our ministry (they just moved there to Bykowina in teh midlle of nowhere from totally different city to live there ! gosh i can't believe that!
Today God is Faithful and Careful showing that His Job is His Job

Today im happy to say Thank you Lord that I dont have to do anything that this is your job your ministry

Today i heard that one women from the new city officials confirmed saying
I saw you praying for healing in the playground, I saw awesome job and I saw miracle therefore I need to help to change the decision...

III kings kids soccer cup edition in Bykowina - God's victory

God love soccer ? ;-) well, i think He like when we have fun and can play respecting each other and showing love. Yesterday more then 100 boys show up on our III kings kids soccer cup edition. We have 3 team coming and waiting for luck to be sign in incase somebody will not show up. The sign up exceeded our expectations which was Great to see those boys accepting our rules and principles. On the very begining we explained to them what does that mean to be christian and why we want them to not use a dirty language.
WE were surprised that those players came from different towns, nto only from Ruda Slaska but aslo from Chorzow, Swietochlowice, Siemianowice cities close to Ruda Slaska.

You need to know that this just a month after when our club went through all diffcult circumstances, and we were happy that we could serve to this young guys. A new baby in our king's kids family

Hey! WE would like to share with you the good news that my sister Sandra delivered baby this morning (Polish time) and her name is Natalia Elizabeth Seweryn. The mother and the baby doing well !
She weight 2,5 kg/ 5,40 lbs and toll 51 cm/ 1,67 feet . We praying for Natalia that God will lead her from the very beginning of Her life and gave wisdom to the Parents !

God is good even something going wrong

Well, saying briefly the past month was crazy and show us how everything depends on God.

We went from ecstasy to mourning, from victory to unbelievable disappointment and to our knees to seek the Lord !

First, our ministry equipment were stolen from the club which was worth around $ 3000 after break in to our kings kids club. Then our financial grant was taken from us b/c somebody exchanged our papers and start to dig in our contest offer to find mistake.

Well, to much but God is keeping us to pray and seek Him what is going on ?? Finally we got recognized by the new city government as a religious sect.

The whole story were shock for us being in the States, so we didn't know what to do, how to help, what is all about it ...... well, simply God is still there, He still have his plan and we understood that there is time where we need to be ready when something is going wrong He still there to help to support to show us His will. So we wanna Praise Him for all the good He done during the 5 years of our club but also for what happened to us now the experience we going thru right now. We praying and fasting seeking God.

Well, In His grace we were able to meet with Coffee Barista and share about Jesus after words and test good coffee, there is one more story to tell but we will wait how God is gonna lead the situation....

7/11 club - wow what a privilage we still have to serve the youngest generation in a sport gym to be able to show how God is faithful and big!!! We have a special guest a polish christian Rapper "Lajf" who was singing for 80 kids and sharing his testimony challenging the young generation !!!

Rising from the Ashes

This is not the first time. And it probably won't be the last time either. It comes with living and working where we do, among broken people. But every time it hurts and reminds us that we are under attack from a ruthless enemy.

Saturday night our Club was broken into.

Lots of expensive ministry equipment was stolen.

Half of the King's Kids staff is in the United States at the moment, all wishing we could be there instead.

Please pray for our Club as they are in the midst of spiritual warfare. Pray for finances to recover the stolen items. Pray for encouragement for our staff that is still in Poland.

These items are crucial to every aspect of ministry King's Kids does. We meet and talk with people over coffee in our Coffeehouse. Crank tunes in dance classes on the stereo. Teach English and Bible stories with the projector. There isn't an aspect of ministry that was not affected.

Despite this attack I am encouraged. If satan feels the need to hit us with this, then the ministry MUST being doing something right. And that is encouraging!

wow, its almost Christmas time ! For many of us time to gather together as family, for some be away from family for some time to decorate and cook :-) well, we thinking as well about the wonderful love from God to us by sending Jesus to save us, just yesterday in our church we were reading The story about God's love and talk as a whole church about it. was awesome ! Didi you think Why Marry named the baby Jesus instead of Immanuel ?? I don't know either ! maybe someone knows so let us know!
In this all special time our club King's Kids like every year did Samaritans Purse shoe box action.
This year we went from door to door to see how those kids leaving ! Friday 5pm till 9pm we were knocking to the doors at the poorest neighborhoods to tell kids that Jesus love them and gave them packages! Saturday 10.00 am till 3 pm about 10 cars GPS-es and 35 volunteers were spread out in Ruda Slaska to visit other kids on the list and give them packages! we had more ten 300 kids to visit!! wow stories we heard ,you can't describe it is just make you cry but also encourage to do more and show the real Love which is coming from Jesus! I will share later some of the incredible story, how we found those who didn't live in the house they supposed to, how we get to the house where was a big fight and Abogail gave package to women who coudn't stop cry .... where frozen doors with snow on it opened and small guy smile to us, where a old house somewhere in the middle of nowhere where happy to see us ! and 5pm we were with those ho give and those who received the packages on the market square in Ruda Slaska!

God is Good God is Awesome I challenge you to think about others and be able to serve and Bless !

yesterday 10.00 am around 80 boys gather to fight for king's kids trophy in Ruda Slaska. 12 teams were playing in 3 groups. around 30 games, many yellow cards and penalty kicks, 6 hours of kicking the ball, and one winner ! Thank you God that we were able to share your love and Grace among this guys !

After almost week when we finished our Action in Bykowina - Ruda Slaska, people smaile and saying good morning to me ! :-) It's really strange b/c I don't know this guys but I assume that they participated in 5 of our actions. I love to talk to people and sharing Love of Christ to them showing that God is good and full of mercy and grace.

Last sunday when i was really tired waiting for Bus delayed almost 3,5 hours two girls came to me saying thank you very much for the amazing program and love !

We are so happy that our coffee area where parents waiting for theirs kids during the dance classes are finally finish !!! Praise The Lord and thank you for the Germans from MOVE 2010 and also Guys from the King's Kids Club. We believe that God is gonna use the place for His Purposes !!

Readers !

I don't even know when was the last time when we wrote to you and share what going on in our ministry. Oh, yes i wrote about our dream - house which would be able to serve us Family and have extra room for someone who is in trouble in his own house because of Jesus.

Its been a big blessing for us to be able to serve the local community and collaborate with the Local Government. In May we put some invoice with proposition for grant to the Department of Health and we won $ 8000 for our ministry! Praise the Lord!

The SEVEN /ELEVEN CLUB

For those who don't know what is this a short reminder ! - its a kids program which is taking place at the public sport gym (for free) once a month for over 100 kids. iThe program is just songs, object lessons, games, Story of life and Big Draw Bike Lottery when after answering three questions from the last program they are winners!

We started in January and we see progress with kids who can learn about Jesus in a different way through experiencing show which full of prizes but also challenges! Bike prize for almost $ 300 IS A REAL magnet for kids ! :-) and here i would love to share testimony, was the beginning of May when a girl win a bike for which we didn't have money. Somehow we made appoitment for tuesday (normally we do in monday) ,monday morning and evening our bank account was empty so i started to figure out something else (my power ) but tuesday morning somebody send money for 4 bikes !!!!! so i was very happy to be able to share that with the winner !! Almost all of our kids will participate our week camp in our club with 130 Germans who are coming in week time i'm so happy of that. Please pray for our next 7/11 club season which will take place in September ,pray that we will able to sponsor the bike for kid.

"My son when He came back from the club start to repeed the lessons about God to be able to remember and if He will choose would be able to answer, and We coudn't believe when last saturday in June He was draw !!! I was impressed that He remember the lesson and could answer the questions !! Well, even in the saturday morning He woke up early and start to share with me then He took a small cross to help him answer good and He did" said Mommy of the winner Dominik , actually Dominik's sister Marzena won also that day so the whole family was blessed.

I would love you to see how the kids worship God !!! They in 99 % form unbelivers family. I just got news that our club is start to be know in many different areas in Ruda Slaska !!!

HAPPY DAY

about 400 people gather in small playground in 1th of June where we could share Christ to the kids and people through many different practical things. we were able to set up trampolines, air slides, and many different craft stations where kids and parents were able to fix something nice. The biggest attraction was skimboarding a pice of see feelings in the middle of the concrete neighborhood where kids could slide on the water and have extreme challenge!

Our visitors from the Health department were impressed that we were able to gather many people even the weather were not encourage. Dropping of one of our visitators home with her 4 kids I had amazing opportunity to tell her about my passion to what I'm doing and Why Jesus put the ministry to my heart ! I shared and i feel that God is working through what He put to my lips ! I praying that God wanna touch the whole family who experienced a lot of pain in theirs live. So my prayer is to bring them healing and encouragement.

KIDS DAY AT THE CITY MARKET WITH THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT

God is good and showing us that people appreciate the honesty and love to the kids with our commitment to the ministry. The local Government with the Sport department invite us to work together and do city event for kids in Ruda Slaska. I think with all of my humility that this type of invitation was a big honor and respect to use God skills and ours. We definitely Blessed the city and were able to share GOD to the smallest kids and theirs parents. Hallelujah !

MOTO BIKE PICNIC

In Monday 28th with Boanerges the Christians Motobikers Organization we meet with over 500 people from the neighborhood at bike picnic. We have a lot of options to share Christ through games, medical rescue show and Police show. There were also friends from the model hobby cars club who did awesome show with small cars. In the evening we had a christian band playing and sharing testimony to the people. We were able to talk to people and share His love.

THE PRODIGAL SON HIP HOP MUSICAL - SHARING CHRIST THROUGH DANCE

Our desire was always to gather youth people who like to dance and be able to use this tool to show Jesus, somehow one day we meet Darek who is known from YOU CAN DANCE SHOW and we start to work together. His live story is amazing and full of experiences which made this guy strong. God was good that put Darek in our live club path and using Him as a magnet to the youth but first of all a good dance instructor. At the beginning of the year after two years of collaborating with King's Kids and sharing Christ Love to Him we ask him for help with a musical called "Prodigal Son" and he agreed to help us inviting more people from outside as far as Actors and different Music Dancers. The story had been read officially to the 15th amazing dancers from our club and opened the way to share Who is the real father and who is the Son. We found out that we gat a chance to share and talk about God Father ! What an amazing opportunity God gave us and opened different door to different people. WE CONVENT YOU to pray for us and the project to be able to share Christ in different places ! We got an opportunity to show this show to the local schools at Fall with the honor of the Vice Mayor of our town who is really exited and interesting how the Youth gonna take it. Lets Pray and ask God That His name will be glorify.

SERVING THE CATHOLIC CHURCH ON THEIR PICNIC

I know its too many to read and i hope you will be able to read ;-) , The Sport department in our town love our work with kids b/c see the passion and devotion. They also recommend king's kids to the others. Sunday Afternoon we were seating at the Sacristy in the Priest Room changing our outfit to the Kids program. That was a nice experience to Serve the church and 600 people about God love and consequences of sin. A lot of people were touched and smile to us saying thank you! The most special momentum for us as small team was when two of the priests came and set thank you for your job and offer us collaboration.

TIME TO COME BACK HOME ?

Where actually is our home? i ask myself the questions many times and always though about heaven :-) is true but its seems like there is something pitilessly coming ! we think that is good for the family and for our marriage. After 6 years of serving here we do think that is a time to think about come back to the States and try to work to be able to have some Family safe place perhaps its seems wired but to do more in the future is really hard if something is not working with passion and vision. Its been hard for us to talk openly about how we feel but few weeks ago something broke and i think made different in ministry, marriage and kids

from the 16th till 30 of July we will be able to host about 130 Young Germans in Our town. They will be sleeping at the local school located close to our King's Kids Club. The Mayor of Ruda Slaska took honor of the whole event and the city as well. We will be able to do 5 different things to share practicly Love Of Jesus in Soccer, Basketball, Dance,Kids Festival and cleaning the city. Please pray for us that God will open theirs hearts for Jesus.

Every year the first of June is reserved for kids because is Kids Day. 2 pm we suppose be ready and start our games but for some reasons we were late about 35 minutes plus we had guests from the City Health Department who visit us and check if everything is going ok.

The whole week before that event was rainy and didn't give us encourage, but we prayed and God gave us clouds without rain so we could have fun with almost 300 people! We have been playing, slide on the water and do other crafts ! Was fun ! Our goal was to show to the society that they don't have to spend the day (even is rainy) in the house and watch tv or play games at the computer. We want simply bless this kids and tell them That God love them so much as well.

That was our pleasure to give this fourth bike away , especially that Ania is coming form big family of 7 where is only ONE bike for all of them. She was answer questions from the lesson about how to trust the Lord. She did. Her mom told me that she was cry because she never was draw to any game or competition. Her mom told her that the day is coming and she have to wait and trust , exectly trust .... :-) Two days ago Trust brought fruit to her life ! She was so happy and shame to even pic the color what she liked. Anyway pray for HEr that she would always remember that this gift came from Lord of Trust.

The Winners of the Bykowina Cup

That was an awesome experience for our club to do first King's Kids football Cup in the new football field. One of the winners was the great weather which we received from God after whole week of rain.

We are glad that we could chat with these boys and taught them some good manners as far as how to use the proper language according to the Fair Play and God's love. That was awesome time. Thank you God!

Miracle of the third bike

This is Ania who won the third bike in our club ! We are so happy like she is ! When I came to the store this morning she was already there waiting with her watch and counting the minutes till the store was to open. What an amazing moment to see how a kid who answered three questions from the "Lesson of Life" is happy!

We talked about His death and resurrection a month ago and she remembered that!

The miracle !

After each 7/11 club program, which is on saturday, the winner comes to pick up his bike at the bike store on Monday. This time was different. Ania's dad asked us if we could switch the day to Tuesday b/c he was working that afternoon and Ania could come with him in the morning. I didn't have clue that this was the only day when she is goes to school about middle of the day. Yet we didn't have the money on Saturday so that gave us a whole day to do something about it. On Monday I was kinda worried, b/c we didn't have money for the bike and I started to question myself: is it really You Lord? Plus I got some dicouraging words from people. Somehow I was peaceful and that morning, Tuesday morning, when I opened our Kings Kids account I started jumping and praising Jesus!!! Money came from our Polish friend who now lives in Norway!!!

And then I realized that Ania & her dad will come at 10.00 o'clock to pick up the bike! God you are awesome and faithful !!! Thank you that you always respond in your time to teach us to wait so You can take the glory! I'm so small.... gosh!

God's word is like flashlight ..... the seven /eleven highlights

Dears!
Last Saturday we had a wonderful time with the kids praying for our country in the special time after the polish president plane crash tragedy. We could talk about that and pray all together that God will teach us how to care for each other and how to love and be prepared to meet with Him!
We talked about God's word the Book - Bible. We could compare this book to different we had but no books was like the one who is the Flashlight & a Map !
I was amazed by the kids who worship God lifting theirs hands and singing with all of theirs hearts !
And miracle happened but i will tell you that in different post !!!

Polish Tragedy

As many of you have heard, Poland's President, wife and many senior officials died on Saturday April 10th in a tragic plane crash in Smolensk, Russia. The unfortunate irony is that they were heading to Russia for the 70th anniversary of the massacre of 20,000 Polish prisoners of war in the village of Katyn. There was a movie released in 2007 titled Katyn about the massacre. You can get more info here. What's so interesting to me is that many Russians have never heard about this massacre that took place in 1940, but due to the current events the truth has come to light. And they are really embracing the Poles during this tragedy. This is taken from a Wall Street Journal blog:

...Russia has decided to air Andrzej Wajda’s Katyn movie on television that reaches the masses. From Vladivostok to Kaliningrad, tens of millions of Russians tonight had a chance to see the movie about the Stalin-ordered 1940 massacre — the movie Russia had for months officially considered unacceptable, with the movie first shown cautiously on the elite Kultura channel only a week ago. The Russian public television didn’t have to do it — but in what Poland sees as a symbolic gesture, it still decided to. Poles will remember it just like it will remember Putin’s human face.

The following is a brief background of Lech Kaczynski. I took it from a blog I follow called the Polishblog.

President Lech Kaczyński was born in 1949 in Warsaw to an affluent and deeply patriotic family. His father was an engineer and former soldier of the Home Army, his mother was an academic teacher of Polish language and literature. He had a twin brother Jarosław, also a politician. At the age of 12 Lech and Jarosław became child-stars after their leading-roles in a film adaptation of Kornel Makuszyński’s novel “The Two Who Stole The Moon”.
Lech Kaczyński graduated from University of Warsaw with a law degree, and became an academic specializing in labor laws. In the 1970s he became involved with the pro-democratic opposition, giving lectures to workers on labor law and history for the opposition Workers’ Protection Committee (KOR). He published for the underground magazine “Robotnik Wybrzeża”. During the strikes in August 1980 he was an adviser for the strike committee. He was arrested and interned during the martial law. In the second half of the 80s he became a close adviser to Lech Wałęsa, the leader of the democratic opposition. He took part in the Round Table Talks between the communist government and the opposition, and had his part in Lech Wałęsa’s victory in the presidential election in 1990. Later, after a fallout, Lech Wałęsa and Lech Kaczyński became fierce enemies. Wałęsa even sued President Kaczyński for his claims that Wałęsa was an agent of the communist secret service.
Mr Kaczyński continued his service as a politician through the 90s and 00s, serving as an MP, president of the Highest Chamber of Control, and Minister for Justice. In 2002 he was elected the mayor of Warsaw.
Many criticized his understanding of democracy and human rights. Lech Kaczyński, during his service as the mayor of Warsaw, banned Gay Pride Parades twice. Laws on which the ban was based, were subsequently lifted by the Constitutional Court. Many saw him as a person supporting the right-wing nationalistic and Catholic agenda. Although, at the same time, he was often criticized by the right-wingers as a “liberal”.
Mr Kaczyński became president in 2005, after the electoral victory over Donald Tusk, the current Prime Minister. The President, according to the Polish constitution is a largely ceremonial role with limited powers. The President has the right to veto new laws, however this veto is subject to a Sejm (parliament) vote. The President has a say in foreign policy and security, and can influence who takes some major offices. Mr Kaczyński’s popularity plunged soon after he took the office, and he soon became a deeply unpopular and controversial figure. In 2006 his twin brother took the role of Prime Minister of Poland. The President was criticized for following his identical twin brother’s party-line too closely. After the 2007 elections, when Donald Tusk from the Civic Platform party took the role of Prime Minister an era of rows between the two officials has begun. Lech Kaczyński aimed to stand for re-election, elections previously anticipated for September 2010, although opinion polls suggested he had no chance of winning.
On 10th of April 2010, Lech Kaczyński died in a plane crash in Russia, along with his wife Maria and many other senior officials: all top army generals, the Ombudsman, the head of the Central Bank, several MPs, deputy Foreign Minister, deputy Minister of Culture, head of the Polish Olympic Committee, rector of the Wyszyński University, vice-chairmen of Sejm and Senate. They were on their way to a memorial marking the 70th anniversary of the Katyń Massacre, where thousands of upper-class Polish POW soldiers were murdered by the Soviet. It is reported that the military airport in Smoleńsk, where the tragedy took place, was in thick fog, and that the airplane crashed on its 4th landing attempt after the tower advised the pilots to land elsewhere.
Some people remember another flight incident involving Mr Kaczyński. During his visit to Tbilisi, Georgia, the pilots refused to land in dangerous conditions. This flamed Mr Kaczyński’s fury, as he was late for his appointments, and he was said to demand the military to dismiss the pilots. Some say it needs to be established whether this current situation was not similar. Many also point to the unfortunate situation, when many senior officials take the same flight, which might leave a void in their respective institutions.
According to the Polish constitution, the Constitutional Tribunal has passed presidential duties to the Speaker of Sejm – Mr Bronisław Komorowski, who announced a week of mourning. Presidential elections will have to be scheduled within the next 75 days. The Speaker of Sejm will have to appoint a new head of the Central Bank and chiefs of the army. The Parliament will appoint the new Ombudsman. MPs will be replaced by those with lower number of votes in each constituency.

As you can guess, Poles and most around the world, are still in shock from the catastrophe. Please pray for the nation and the friends and families of the deceased. Our deepest sympathies go out to them.

Second bike given away at the 7/11 club

Dear Friends !
We are so happy that we can share the Love of Jesus Christ through practical love and the 7/11 program. Last week 10-yr old Wiktor won the second bike!!! We were so happy to bless his family who are living in the poorest area and the most violent neighborhood in Ruda Slaska.

God was really faithful and provided finances for the bike, therefore we believe that He is gonna provide for the third by the 24th of April. The kids "interactive-religion program", as named by the newspaper, is growing and brought more than 100 kids this month!!! We're thankful to God that He put this ministry on our heart and encourages us every month!

We also see that another ministry is blooming from this, a Family ministry. Standing always at the end on the main door and telling people good-bye, I see the biggest appreciation coming from their hearts! It's awesome that we are led by God and have a small "church"!!! Yes, church at the Public City Hall Sport Gym for free! I'm so glad that our God is the one who has everything good for us even if we don't see that now, somebody else will be able to see in the future. Thank you guys for your prayers and if you can pass this to your friends to encourage them to fight in prayers for their own town & cities.

This week was a big test for us and our ministry

As I wrote before, on tuesday morning our friend ,volunteer Martyna went to meet Jesus and few days before our good friend Michal was badly beaten up by some of youth from the district where our club is located.

Michal is a 18 years old good friend who is helping us with posters, invitations and all computer stuff. On his birthday which were not so far away from our club two guys came and without anything beat Him breaking his bone cheek.... for nothing , they were drunk and didn't like that Michal told the politely to leave the building where they were.

Martynka is with Jesus

..it was wednesday when Erin & I fall from the ski lift somewhere in Italy among the peaks of the high mountains. Martyna's Dad called us and ask for prayers, in the background i heard the 15 years lovely girl screaming from the pain. We fall from the lift but we heard the phone call !
WE start pray and cry , I asked Martyna if she believe that Jesus died for Her and IF She is sure that She is going to Heaven .. She set Yes! .. Later my dad was there with Ania our friend praying and putting oil on her head. Since this day with pain She talked only about Jesus , that He is waiting for Her. Tuesday morning around 9.15 she went to meet God.
We were sad and cried but also glad that She is with Jesus in better place, the place were we also wanna go from the earth pilgrim path. Pray with us for Martyna parents as they are in big lost.

We are glad that we have been a part of the huge operation in the whole earth ! Friday night the 18th about 500 people gathered to be able to watch the performance "Jonah" and afterwards receive packages and an invitation for the big sunday school which will take place on 30th of Janauary 2010! The most exiting thing was to receive packages which were rise by the local schools and preschools! Thank you Lord that we were able to share that You are the amazing gift who came to us!

last week we got an invitation for conference called " You as well can help" organized by the City of Ruda Slaska and ProEthica. We were nicely surprise when they called my sister Sandra to pick up an award called "The Angles of the volunteers" in the present of the officials and hundred of students. Later on we were able to talk what we do and why we do what we do on our stage.

What an awesome testimony! Praise to the Lord.

Food Bank Collection

Yesterday started the food collection at two local grocery stores. Kings Kids volunteers stood for 10 hours encouaring the shoppers to buy extra groceries for those in need this Christmas season. We have two more days to raise as much as possible and the collection will go to the food bank in Ruda Śląska. Good job volunteers!

Last summer we had opportunity to rise school backpacks for small polish school in Belarus. Was amazing to see how God was providing stuff from poles for the kids in the communist country. it was amazing to see about 40 young people gather in our club yesterday night to talk about Operation Christmas Child !

The shoe boxes action is going on in our town about 9 years and 4 years in cooperation with Public School System , Sport Department & the City Hall.

This year we will concentrate at people who are needy but they are shame to be able to ask for help. Please pray for us that the simple gift will able to touch kids life.

We also talked about other christmas programs which the first one will take place at the Children's Hospital in Zabrze.

We will be able to share Jesus Love to the wonderful kids who are going through hard time in theirs life.

10 years anniversary of king's kids poland

It's been 10 years , yeah 10 years when we went to the streets and start to play with kids from needy neighborhoods. We are glad and thankful to God that He gave us the calling to reach since 1999 more then 15.000 kids in many different areas in Poland.

In December 11th we will celebrate the 10th years with people we love , the needy we will share with them a food packages collected week before at the stores in Ruda Slaska.

Words cannot express the deep joy I experienced on Sunday watching my Godly husband baptize Ania in the inflatable pool in the Hash's garage. This has been an eleven year journey for Greg and his family since they first met Ania's family, which now consists of four younger sisters and her parents. She's a precious gem and an important key to changing this young generation of Poland. Ania shared her testimony before the church congregation and how God has been real to her and wants to follow Him. Her life has not been easy... she's had to grow up fast to take care of her younger siblings because of her parents' addiction to alcohol. But she's remained strong and determined to have a better life for herself by doing very well in school and making wise choices. Many of you in the States have had the opportunity to meet her for which she's been grateful! She speaks English well but is very good at challenging me to use my Polish! This was Greg's first time to baptize someone and he was very honored to have this special blessing. Eugene prayed a special prayer of blessing and thanksgiving over her before she served communion to the body of Christ. Please continue to lift her up in prayer as she seeks the next steps in her walk. Hallelujah! Press play to see a few pictures of her day.

Youth Club Revamp

Many of you know that we received disappointing news earlier this year that we would have to move from our club up to the front of the building. We were quite down about it but when life gives you lemons make lemonade, right?! Well we've transitioned beautifully thanks to the hard work of Grzegorz and Ania from our club, Luke (Sandra's fiance), and the DTS team from Derby England! We are all so excited about our club now- it looks better than we ever hoped and far exceeds where we were before! In the hopefully near future, the building association will come in and build a real coffee bar for us as a "peace offering" that we had to move from our previous location! :) It just doesn't get better than that!

Neighborhood Happpy Day

The City of Ruda Slaska's Department resposible for non-government organizations (NGO) is collecting backpacks with school supplies for Polish children in Belarus. There a 60 students there in a Polish school that they're wanting to help due to the poor conditons they are living in. As an NGO we will be collecting to supplies for the Polish-belarussian children and mailing them to the students. So, we decided to make a big "Happy Day" out of it! We organized an all-day kid party for the neighborhood where our club is located. There was skimboarding, face painting, competitions, moon bouncing, and much more. A few hundred people turned out for the event along with a team from California and a DTS outreach team from Derby who helped! We had tons of fun giving to the neighborhood as they in turn gave to the city's cause. Thank you to King's Kids volunteers, the YWAM Dts from Derby, the group from The Father's House in California, Skimbim, the Ruda Slaska City Hall, the Building Association RSM, the Water Department, and Tickeventum for printing our posters! Thanks guys!

May Day Bike Trek

We met at the King's Kids Club at a little after 10 am and 8 of us (plus Abi and Hannah in their bike seats) set out on the 20 kilometer ride to Chudow. I have never ridden this far... ever... so this was quite daunting for me, especially with a 20lb girl strapped on the back of my bike! The guys were gracious though and switched bikes with me a few times so that I could have a break! We got to the park with rebuilt ruins of a small castle and stuffed ourselves with local food and drink and then sprawled out on the grass and soaked up the warm sun and enjoyed some R&R. Abi got to ride a pony and run around in the field with Hannah picking flowers. We returned to club around 5:30 and ended the day with grilling sausages and a game of soccer, er, I mean football. We had great fun and fellowship and I think I might actually be up for another bike trip sometime soon!

Easter Weekend

We were just blessed with a phenominal team of 45 youth from King's Kids Holland. Over the years we've enjoyed a wonderful relationship with the team in Heidelbek and know they have the annointing of the Lord. It was a full weekend from Friday to Sunday night. On Friday the team came to the King's Kids Club in Ruda Slaska and shared some dramas and dances and impacted the spiritual atmosphere in the neighborhood. They talked and prayed with the youth. On Saturday, we went to the Chechen refugee camp at noon and had a blast with the children with games, clowns, balloons, coloring, and the evangelical dance and drama program. It was wonderful to bring Jesus into this dark place. In spite of our differences of culture, language, and even religion, the men have noticed the different spirit that we bring into the camp as a positive one. We are welcomed everytime we come and it's such a blessing to us to begin these relationships. That evening, the team came to club again and interceded and prayer-walked around the neighborhood. Easter morning the Holland team led worship at our church (awesome!) and afterwards we ate dinner together. Then at 4pm the team went to the biggest park in the area and shared the gospel through the dramas, testimonies, and dance to about 300 people. Easter was the perfect time to take advantage of the time and share the gospel. People were willing to listen and many of the team and Greg were able to pray for people and share a bit deeper of what the Lord is doing. And before the team headed back to Holland they prayed over us as a family. Thanks again King's Kids Holland for sacrificing your Easter weekend and coming all the way to Poland to bless this nation. :)

Monday, 8.00 am just beofre our meeting with social workers, i gat phone call from the city hall in Ruda Slaska that officialy we are invited by the General Director to visit the Chechenya refuge camp in Bytom ! That awesome !
I was sad when katowice camp was closed, because of some understandable reasons, God knows, He always knows.... Our Friend from the old place in Katowice, He really want to see kings kids team there .... thank you God that you opened the doors !

I love this people, hurted without home, homeland but with Big heart !! the very first time when an alder from the fellowship told me that after our ministry He field a human I was crying and couldn't understand why people in poland didn't accept them .....

I see God, his mercy through them, that just 20 yers ago we were in teh same situation, close in the box called Poland, without any perspective and dreams ....

Today we can give hope, love and dreams to those who sufering here becaasue where they would like to be is war.

Ask you today pray for this nation, pray for those people who are here that they will be able to see that we Love them not tolerance them.

Yesterday, as a kings kids ministry we were officially invited for meeting with Social Workers from one of the needy areas in Ruda Slaska -

"Kafhaus" -
this is a place where many kids and youth leaving "day by day" which means trying to survive .. very often parents are not interesting at all of what going on with theirs children.
The place we have been visiting many times with kings kids a other teams sharing Peaceful message about Jesus.

10.45 am monday, my mom and me were seating and sharing our vision, experiences and testimony what God did in kids lives from this area... I was proud of Jesus that He is showing people through us, small tools How he is BIG :-)

our kids who actually using social help told them about us, about our ministry about our hearts and lives... with all of my humble heart i was thankful that people A S K us for help in theris every day routine .... best thing was that because we became recognize organization in the city we can say ....... Dears friends is Jesus, nothing then Jesus our inspirtaion and answer.

New Year in the Club

So we've officially started our new year in the club. Greg, Sandra and Aniela spent a lot of time working on the project for 2009 to send in to the City Hall. They put together our plan for the year including days we'll be at the club, themes of our meetings, and listing the special classes we'll offer at the club. These include weekly English conversation classes, hip-hop dance, mother and toddler meetings, boxing coaching, and even some physical therapy classes! The city hall gave us 12.000 zlotys (about 4,000 dollars) for the year which will cover our costs of heat and electricity at the club!!! Praise God for his provision and for our favor with the local government. Thank you for your prayers and financial gifts!

Our annual Operation Christmas Child party will be December 20th at noon. As I type Greg is picking up the packages we receive from Germany and the public schools in Ruda Slaska are putting together their own shoebox presents! We are so excited and so is the City Government and our youth who are preparing for this. Please pray for all the preparation that goes into this and that God will bring the children who need to be there. I will keep you posted on the progress!

King's Kids Conference

We had a great time and were really encouraged having all the European King's Kids leaders in Poland this year. Words Of Wisdom and Fire was our theme and we were challenged with the passion of visionaries and the leadership and eldership of those who've been in King's Kids for many years. A big thank you to all of you who helped and attended. We were blessed and so was Poland for having such passionate people for the Lord here.

A Moonbounce and Laughter

We made another visit to the Chechen refugee camp Sunday. But this time we brought with us a moonbounce and slide! Oh... and a unicyclist :) The sheer amazement and awe in the children's faces (and I should add adult faces also) was worth a thousand Christmases for me. I can't think of another place I would have rather been than with these people on Sunday. And even though this was one of the best days in my life, I really hate the fact that I need to write about it here. It's not that I don't want everyone to know about it, it's that I lack the writing ability to paint an accurate picture for you of what it felt like to be there! We could have cut the excitement with a knife it was so thick... but there was also this holiness that was there among us. Pure and real.

I've never seen the children so calm and orderly. They actually waited in line the entire time we were there for a turn down the slide and time to jump. No fighting. No pushing. A complete 180 from our first meeting. A school counselor came, who is wanting to cooperate with us, and thought it may work better if some of the kids who were standing in line came to play with the parachute for a while and later the groups could switch. I couldn't help myself by blurting out with a big grin on my face, " What you're looking at is a miracle! It's not terrible that they're standing in line... it's an absolute miracle!" She caught my drift. The men came and supervised all the happenings- making sure that no one cut in line or went out of turn. The men even asked me to take their pictures (a sign of less uneasiness and trust towards us) although I must still blur their faces since most men are wanted by the Russian authorities for crimes against the state.

To view more pics click here. We will be going back in November for a big Chechen feast that they have invited us to. They want to serve and bless us! Wow... something we never expected. And more ways to help out?! The group is in huge need of diapers... the Polish gov't doesn't provide for that in the health care system and since the Chechens don't have work permission yet they don't have money for this. So you can donate money to diapers for all the little babies and pregnant women.

English at Club

We finally started English classes at the club. This Thursday was our first official class since English week took place during the summer. The group for Alabama met in July for a week and got to know some great people! Many of them have returned with the desire to practice their English. I meet with the more advanced group at 5pm (we talked about fear) and the intermediate group at 6pm ( we struggled through introductions). I'm excited about this because I get to build relationship on my own as well as be involved more at the club. Oh, and Greg has to watch the kids during this time. :)

Refugees from Chechen

269 Chechen refugees are living in Katowice - they are spit on, laughed at, or just simply ignored. Why? Because they're different and the surrounding neighborhood is angry that they're sucking up Polish taxes, their taxes. They complain that the children only play "war" and are uncultured that they shouldn't be here. Too bad. They are.

Greg was moved by an article he read in the newspaper about the Chechen's. They're living in a district of Katowice where we used to work. So Greg jumped on the chance to try and help. We both know how it is to live in another culture, not knowing the language, and feeling out of place. So he made a phone call to the journalist and explained his desire to help, who we are, and what we do here in Poland. She was excited about our interest but apprehensive that we might try to "evangelize". He said we only want to help the children have fun: play games, have clowns, make balloons, bracelets... just be with them and make them smile. So after getting the go-ahead from the government in Warsaw we met with the youth from our club and prepared everything.

Well, we thought we were prepared. Nothing could prepare us for the chaos of 100 curious excited kids who want to be the first to receive whatever we were giving out. We had them on top of us trying to get balloon animals and no matter what we did to try to explain you must stand in a line, it didn't work. At one point a guy from our club just got up and walked off. He couldn't handle it! I don't blame him- it was pure chaos! Later, I used the illustration of Jesus in the crowded house in Capernaum teaching and a lame man was brought there by his friends. It was so crowded that they had to destroy the roof in order to get him to Jesus. Now that's chaos! And Jesus didn't seem to get frustrated, he was impressed by their faith.

Extreme Makeover- H2O

At the end of August a group of us from club decided to set out to the camp purchased by Josiah Venture in southern Poland to help with their extreme makeover. The center was purchased in 2006 and is being made ready for summer camps, conferences, leadership training programs, and retreats. This place will be amazing and will be used to impact thousands in Poland so we jumped on board to be a part of it. God miraculously provided the money for our transportation and food at the camp (are we surprised?!) For three days we worked, sweated, bled, and invested our energy by cutting down trees, chipping away tile, picking up rocks, painting fences, mowing grass, and preparing the area for the landscapers who were coming the next week. In the afternoons we kayaked and swam and got to know each other better. Greg shared daily from the "Purpose Driven Life" and challenged our youth to think about the reason for living! Since we were there the soccer field has been completed with a sprinkler system and grass and an amphitheater has been built.

Not only that but many of our youth came to know Christ that next weekend through the drama "Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames". God is so good how he works... I look back over the summer and can now see the foundation He's been laying for our youth to come to Him. RiverTree Church with English, King's Kids Holland with dance, testimonies, and prayer, movie night with The Passion, this H2O camp, Heaven's Gates, and now many have given their hearts to Christ! What an exciting summer full of the work of God! Thank you friends for being a part of this journey in Poland. It wouldn't be possible without you. Please keep in prayer for the new believers: that they may grow in the wisdom and knowledge of our Lord and they won't be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ.

Movie Night

A brand-new awesome projector and screen (thanks RiverTree and Zakrzewski's), five movies, two children, fifteen people, six pizzas, lots of junk food, one dog, and no sleep... it must be our first ever ALL-NIGHT MOVIE NIGHT! We put to test our new projector (and our endurance) and it passed with flying colors. We had so much fun spending all night together laughing, eating, talking, and just goofing off. We even got some quality film time in and ended with The Passion by Mel Gibson. Not quite my idea of a movie to end with but the youth wanted to watch it and were really into it even going on no sleep. This will definitely be a night to be repeated!

Ten Days of Blessings

We had a wonderful time with the King's Kids group from Holland. Thirty seven youth came this year from the annual Boomerang camp in July. We went to neighborhoods in different cities performing dances and sharing dramas and testimonies of what God has done in their lives. People were healed (again!), saved, encouraged, blessed, touched, and challenged by this amazing group of young people. They had the opportunity to go to St. Anna Mountain where a monastery is located and is often visited as a place of pilgrimage for Catholics. They performed and shared testimonies, did a prayer walk around the area, and prayed for the Catholic youth as they were about to head out on an outreach the next day. The priest and sisters were very blessed as they saw so many youth have a true passion for the Lord and a desire to pray for anyone around them.

Towards the end of their visit the group was able to go meet the Mayor of Ruda Slaska. He shared some about the area and then the group was able to ask him questions. They didn't miss the chance to share their passion for God and even challenged him to seek the Lord when he makes decisions and informed him that he can be sure of his salvation! Afterwards they sang a song and prayed over him. Wow! They are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ! What a wonderful example.
